| ACTION E.6: Publications.
Although the scientific surveys and monitoring programs of this
project is still undergoing, the scientific team has decided to
produce the first publications with
the initial results. Thus, 2 papers regarding risk mapping and hydromorphologic
conditions of the ponds have been produced and will be presented
in the forthcoming international conference entitled: 'Protection
and Restoration of the Environment VII' to be held in June 2006
at Chania, Crete. Furthermore, 1 more abstract is now under preparation
and will be sent in the International Multidisciplinary Conference
on Hydrology and Ecology which will be held on September 2006 in
the Czech Republic while another paper will be submitted in the
forthcoming event: '1st European Congress of Conservation Biology'
that will be organized in Hungary next August. The intense scientific
efforts of the project team regarding MTPs, their characteristics
and their interactions with the broader environment will continue
with the same pace and therefore a large number of publications
is expected until the end of the project. Furthermore, papers will
be also sent to International journals while later on, according
to the project's timetable, a layman report and a management handbook
will be produced.
